Bentley Insurance Group (BIG) is pleased to announce continuation of the risk management education and credit program. We have again arranged for risk management CME* courses to be offered through ELM Exchange, Inc. (ELM) for First Professionals Insurance Company (FPIC) policyholders in Illinois. Consistent with last year, the program allows FPIC insureds to complete three courses at NO COST, and receive a 5% discount on their premium.
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2012: FPIC insureds must complete three (3) ELM courses every two (2) years to maintain the discount. We have altered the structure of the courses on the ELM system to accommodate this change. You will now be able to select those courses that most interest you from a menu of choices. We encourage you to take as many ELM courses as you wish between now and your renewal. Each year we will add fresh topics to the menu. You will not earn additional discounts on your premium for taking additional courses, but you may accumulate additional CME hours.
To obtain and maintain the 5% FPIC premium credit, it is necessary to complete three courses every two years.
Courses must be completed 90 days prior to renewal. FOR MORE INFORMATION, CLICK HERE.
An Important Message from Bentley Insurance Group
RE: The Doctors Company Acquisition of FPIC
Dear Agent:
Below you will find a link to a letter going to all IL FPIC policyholders regarding the TDC acquisition of FPIC, which is expected to close fourth quarter 2011.
We are very pleased with this new partnership. The combined company will make the TDC companies the largest physician insurer in the US with over 70,000 combined policyholders. We are equally pleased to share that FPIC policyholders will remain FPIC policyholders, receiving the same commitment to outstanding customer and claim service from FPIC that your clients have come to expect.
As the old saying goes, this is a “win-win” for everybody. Both companies share a common philosophy as aggressive advocates for their physician policyholders. Both have been and continue to be aggressive supporters of strong and meaningful tort reform. Both companies have deep commitments to risk management as a way to promote patient safety, improve quality of care and mitigate losses.
You can be confident that FPIC is here for the long haul and now more than ever you are representing the premier physician’s insurance program available in Illinois. Our track record of continued growth shows that your clients realize the superior value of the FPIC product. FPIC will continue to deliver on its promise of the superior product and service at competitive prices.
We look forward to our continued partnership with you, FPIC, and now, TDC.
Regards,
Sarah M. Dore, CPCU
